F. ÖDER ÜNSAL
1977- Graduated from the Aegean University, dept. of Journalism. Worked as a journalist in local press until 1979. Got involved in ceramics the same year.
1993- Attended the ceramic studio of State Museum of Sculpture and Painting in İzmir.
1995- Became the student of Bingül Başarır (member of IAC International Academy of Ceramics.) Wrote
articles about ceramics in Turkish and foreign magazines and newspapers eg. Seramik Dünyası,
Art Dekor, Art & Perception. She has translations published by Doğan Yayınları.
2000- Began to work with Tüzüm Kızılcan (teacher of ceramics in D.E. University Fine Arts ceramic dept.)
Attended numerous exhibitions in Turkey, France and Korea.Held 3 solo exhibitions, won 8 awards. Working ceramics and glass in her studio & teaching ceramics in The State Museum of Painting & Sculpture.

Artistic View:
The starting point of her art is her inner self. She expresses herself by using ceramic as a medium She emphasizes natural mediums and formations in construction, texture and color. She observes the results of the prepared applications and directs them if necesarry. Seeks for the most concentrated expression with the least lineation and color. Her aim is to unite with and find a balance between herself and nature.
She has consentrated on two series in the last ten years. In White Serie she emphasizes social pressures and longing of freedom of the individual by abstracting the bird forms.
In Saggar Serie, she searches what can she get most from the nature in name of her art.
